There is alot going on around here again ! Between gardening, birthday card making and getting ready for another trip to Portland (more on that later), I have been doing a little sewing. I bought a huge bag of lavender buds and decided to make a few sachets:

I also had some new fabric, a really fun t-shirt knit I've been looking at for a while, and came up with a great new reversible bag. I really love this one!

 

 I've also been making a few new flower pins and added this one to another new bag, along with an upcycled leather strap:

Happy Anniversary Cori and Jake!!

Happy third anniversary to my daughter and son-in-law! You've weathered  three wonderful years full of adventures: graduation, moving away from your families, new jobs, new homes and a beautiful baby boy! We are all very proud of you both.  I love you, enjoy the memories.....see you soon!!

 

Precious Declaration ROCKS!!!!

I'm the biggest fan!! Ok, so I'm also the Mom....but they were really good! It's been awhile since my son has been in a band, "Precious Declaration" is brand new and they had their first gig on Saturday nite at the Powerhouse in Folsom, CA. Somehow my friends and I snagged a personal tour of this huge place (by the sound man),  filled with memorabilia , a maze of inside and outside bars and rooms that went on forever. Very fun! It was great to see my son singing and playing his guitar again. The best part is, I don't have to drag him around the countryside to his band practices like the old days!! I think he was about 10 when he started playing...
 So, here's luck to you Precious Declaration!! Rock on!! Next week: Folsom Hotel.
